The antithesis of so many large-scale resorts that clutter the Marbella coast, Town House is a 9-room property located at the center of the old town near Plaza de los Naranjos. Arranged along a charming walking street, the first of four floors offers a charming reception with on-site design store stocked with some of the best home decor finds in the city. Period brocade ceilings and glossy marble floors offer an all-white color palate that extends throughout the micro-hotel. On the rooftop is a lounge and bar home to morning coffee and evening aperitifs with a trendy collection of UK and American guests. With no pool or beach club to speak, access to the sea is easiest at Beach Club El Fuerte with on-site spa that's walking distance from the hotel.
The Room
A series of nine simple, stylish rooms feature glossy marble floors and rustic details like beam ceiling or hand carved moldings with ornamental chandeliers. Retaining its charm and original architecture, rooms are on the small side with simple layout of Queen-size bed with white tufted headboard opposite antique armoire and large picture windows with mountain views. Lacking the panache of other beachfront mega-resorts, the affordable high-season rates and personable service are enough to satiate even the truly devote lux traveler.
